First Time at a Regatta: 7 of 8

10:38 am | Wednesday, 29 April 2015

The second day of racing starts bright and early.  By now, sailors have made new friends, met up with older ones, parents and guardians have started to get into a a rhythm and equipped with their binoculars are all ready to head to the viewing gallery to see how their wards are doing!  Day 2 may be part of a 3 or 4 day series – depending on the duration of the regatta.  Early days still to know – wind conditions will determine how the day will shape up.

Time for the Opti parents to heave a sigh of relief and depending on where the regatta is being held, many schedule some work, sight seeing or general relaxing while the coaches and sailors are busy racing!
